Nick is based at a state-of-the-art equestiran establishment in Warwickshire. A typical day starts at 7.30 a.m. when the grooms feed the stabled horses; the type and quantity of feed depends on the work being done by the horses. Various supplements are used, all provided by *Equiform Nutrition.

All the horses are bedded on *Blue Frog Shavings which provide an ideal environment for the horses. There is an automatic watering system in every stable.
The horses are either worked or hacked in the morning. They wear bridles provided by *Hadfield Bridleworks. The jumping arena contains a wide variety of jumps, all supplied by *Jump4Joy. If the horses are hacked, they go off around the quiet country lanes, relaxing.

All the horses are back in their stables by lunchtime having been washed in the wash box (hot and cold running water) then dried under the heat lamps in the solarium. Hooves are meticulously picked out and greased every day. Lunchtime feeds are given at 1 o’clock.
In the afternoon, tack is cleaned, rugs washed, the yard swept and general stable duties take up the rest of the day.
At 4 o’clock the horses are fed haylage, stables are skipped out, doorways swept in and then at 5 o’clock the last feed of the day is given together with enough haylage to last the evening.
A “late night” check of the horses is made when rugs are straightened if necessary.
